Layouts

More layouts done quick, using my stash. This one was made with more of that 8x8 Memory Makers paper that I used on my last post.

These flowers were made with Pink Paislee ribbon. I love this stuff. It's just a simple scallop edged ribbon, but you can mist it, ink it, or wrap it into a flower with ease. Pretty versatile.

And another page made up of mostly leftover pieces from other projects. I love this picture of Emma, and I love using this dark, bright blue with pictures of her, because it shows off her beautiful blue eyes!

Thanks for looking.

More Layouts

I had to try playing with watercolours on a layout.... I think I'll keep working on that one, but I can see how it could look good. I'm just not sure what to do with it, and I should have used heavier paper....

The layout below was part of my attempt to use up my smaller paper sizes. These were specialty cut 8x8 pages which are cute, but I never use.

Did you notice I used more ribbon on the top two layouts?? A few more inches gone from my stash.

And another double page layout of Emma, using flowers.... I hardly ever use them, but they're so pretty, I do love to buy them :)

Here's a look at each page indivdually. If you think these pics look familiar, I have the same shots of Gracie at 6 months. Same outfit, same blankie, same pose(?) I'll have to find her layout to compare.

Blackberries anyone?

These are sooooo good!

 but what a mess!

Notice a bib in the top two?

And now it's gone. Didn't notice until I picked it up off the floor afterwards. I think I needed a whole body bib anyway.

And, it's laundry day again.

New Stack

I finally got through the pictures I took of the last stack. So, here's the next stack....

I feel like a Mexican factory worker or something. I'm pumping layouts out fast these days.

If you want to know my method, it's simple. I spend one night picking out a bunch of pictures that I want to scrap, and spread them all over the floor. Then I add paper on top of the pictures, and maybe embellishments, and keep them together. I put them together in a box on my scrap table, and then I pull out everything I need, whenever I find a few minutes, and I'm ready to go.

Or if you ask Brad, I make a mess all over the floor, then add to the mess, and then shove that mess into a box, to be pulled out slowly, making a bigger mess :)

Sweet Emma.

I tried to really use my stash on these, no buying anything new. I pulled out my gigantic box of ribbon and tried to use some of it. I have great stuff, but it's kind of out of sight, so it just piles up.

Both of these have ribbon on them. About 18" of ribbon gone from my stash with these two layouts alone, only 2,000 feet to go.

Remembrance Day Service

These are old, but here are a few peaks at our Remembrance DAy. I couldn't take many pictures at the ceremony, because I was trying to keep Emma quiet and still...

Brad's in the front on the left.

Brad and Gracie afterwards (Emma had already crashed).

And here's my attempt to get a picture of the two of them together in their pretty dresses....

See Emma's poppy barrette? It's actually clipped to a little bit of hair, it's not pinned to her scalp.  :)

Dad's Day

I have a few layouts about Brad to share today.

The first is Brad and Gracie at the Vuelta in Spain, which I just realized I've scrapbooked twice. Somehow, I reprinted the pictures and rescrapbooked the page, same journaling and everything. Oh well, it's not like I have 7 billion other photos to scrapbook (oh wait, I do!)

Brad and Emma at the farm.

And Brad's bike race a few years ago.

Brad's got his own album now and it's slowly filling up. Of course Gracie and Emma have multiple albums, but they're just so darn cute!

Daily Life

In our house, life lately is a mixture of learning to eat

 and perfecting performance skills.

There's also a little bit of time to play. Gracie's dollhouse has it's own lifelike doll who thinks this house is pretty perfect :)

Trip Layouts

I have about 30,000 pictures to scrapbook. It's been over a year since we went on this trip, but I still have a pile of photos that haven't even been printed.

Here's a layout about Lagos. I love that I have photos to use with the nautical trend. I love me an anchor, for some reason.

The next is a two-page layout about the Moorish Castle, using some old Bo Bunny paper from a line called World Traveler, I believe. How very fitting. I love it. There's something about bright blues that really works with browns and rusts.

A close up of the tag, just to show you that the cup ring was put there on purpose, I didn't set my tea down on a layout, although it wouldn't surprise me.

This is another page using the Bo Bunny line, plus some Glitz stickers. I find it hard to use busy pages like this, even when I'm drawn to them, because I don't want to cover anything up.

Hope you enjoyed this quick peek. Anyone else want to head over to Portugal with me? It was nice and sunny.

Snow!

We got a skiff of snow last week, and Gracie wanted to go play in it, so we bundled everyone up and headed out. Emma's snowsuit is far too big, but it kept her warm and dry and will probably fit next week, the way she's growing.

Mom apparently needs to dress herself better for snow play... jeez, get new jeans already, lady!

Attack! Gracie attempts a snowball fight with a leafy snowball.

Emma masters a snow angel.

Quick Layouts

I love sitting down in the evening with the tv on in the background, scrapbooking photos. I seem to do a few each evening this way. They're just quick and simple, but they get done and then they can go into the girl's books.

The paper in these is mostly from American Crafts or Crate Paper.

I love this picture of Gracie. It was one I took with my phone, while she was playing in the tub, but it shows her beautiful smile and how happy she is all the time.

Here's a layout of Gracie and her friend painting with a penguin at West Edmonton Mall.

Emma started waking up from her naps happy around 6 months old, and that was a milestone for me. I love going in to grab a happy, laughing baby.

One of the layouts of Gracie's stay at the farm this summer. She loves Gram's raspberry bushes, so we had to capture that memory. PS> I love the little polaroid slides on this one.
