A few more....
We had fun! If you want to go on vacation with your kids, head to the Grand Palladium in Riviera Nayarit. It's lovely and so kid-friendly. 4.5 hour flight direct to Puerta Vallarta from Edmonton, too....
Just sayin... It's cold out...
The beverages were delicious there, too ;)

and rested, and tanned, and sort of glad to be back, and struggling to get back into the routine, and loving the pictures and memories we made, and even gearing up for Christmas!!!
What a fun time of year to come home to. It makes it a little easier when there's so much fun to be had, right around the corner.
Here are a few pictures from the trip. I'll share a few more tomorrow... I know you want to look at tons of pictures of us on a beach, when we're expecting huge dumps of snow here in Alberta, but I have to share. It's my duty.
Stay warm friends!

Here's another layout using the Jubilee line from My Mind's Eye.
Very trendy aztec prints in bright colours in this line. Pretty fun. Plus, I love the silver rub-ons. Gold is still my fave, but silver was a nice change.
I added a few triangles and strips to the background paper and stitched them on.
Next, I brushed a few watercolours over the text in the bottom, left corner.
I layered some paper, another triangle, and some label stickers under my photo with a little more stitching and then finished it off with a few of the great silver rub-ons.
Memory captured, cute supplies used, layout complete!

I made this quick little layout with the second line in my TM kit, also from My Mind's Eye.
This line is called Jubilee. It's so bright and happy, I love it!
Here's what I did.
A few quick swipes of watercolour paint with a makeup sponge on white cardstock started things off.
Obviously, messy is fine.
Next, I stamped my arrow stamp from American Crafts all over the page in various places. I stamped each image twice, before re-inking, so some of the images look more faded than others.
Next, I stamped three hearts approximately in the corners of a triangle and then drew in a dashed line around the edges of the background paper, the stamped hearts, and all of the pieces of paper I would be using.
I glued everything down and added some of the lovely silver rub-ons and.... viola! All done. Easy-peasy.

My Great Uncle Charlie Fielding served during WWII. He has travelled for years to schools in and around Hanna speaking to kids, showing them his uniforms, medals, memorabilia and whatever else he can bring for them.
Our thoughts are of him throughout the year, but especially on and around Remembrance Day.
These are some pictures taken from his presentation at the Hanna school this year.
Uncle Charlie is 96 this year, and still helping local youth make a personal connection to the war.
If you'd like to read more of his story, follow this link.
