Such a great sister!

Gracie sure loves being a big sister!

Love these girls.

Even when she can't hold Emma, she has her baby, Aunt Harriet (creative name, right? It's from a cartoon) to cuddle.

Emma!

Swoon.

What a little sweetie. She's 4 weeks old today, and we're having such a cuddly, cozy time with her.

She had an appointment on Monday and after three weeks, is up to 9 pounds, 13 ounces and is an inch taller! She's growing like crazy, so we're just trying to soak up as much of this time as we can. She'll be out of the baby-baby stage in no time at this rate and I just want her to slow down.

Emma Updates

We're getting a little more sleep, settling in to a routine, and enjoying our slower paced life.

We took Emma for her first weigh in on Thursday. They wanted to see if she'd gotten back to her birthweight. Surprise! She made that and gained nearly a pound on top of it. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces. What a healthy girl.

Check out these gorgeous eyes!

Treasured Memories Layouts for December

Here are a few layouts that I made using my December kit from TM. I haven't posted much about scrapbooking lately, and since this is called Scrapbook Savvy.... I thought I should post something.

All of the photos are printed at 2x3" so I can fit more on each page and still showcase the great paper. I really like this line by Bazzill Basics. I hardly ever use orange paper, but it looks great paired with black, beige, pink and green.

I trimmed these border ruffles out of one of the patterned papers, because I liked them so much. The pink and white ruffles in the Sweet Sunshiny Smiles, and the orange and white ruffle from Snow Girl.

CHA Sneak Peaks

I love checking out what new scrapbooking products are coming out, and Scrapbook and Cards Today has gathered some of the best in one location. Check it out if you're like me and can't stay on top of each individual company's reveals. There are a few posts about the upcoming show. Enjoy!

Returning to a New Normal

You may have noticed the blog posts about our Christmas adventures abruptly stopped, as did everything around here. No more posts, no more sleep, no more showers....

;)

We welcomed Emma Maggie Malacko into our lives on the 28th of December, at 8:08 pm. She was 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches long. A whole pound and 2 inches bigger than her sister!

She made a slow entry into our lives, with contractions starting 26 days before her birth, and the doctor promising a baby within the week...... We waited.

Then, there were 26 hours of 'actual' contractions, (such a slow and steady entry into this world, we thought). We waited, and walked.....

and all of a sudden, she was coming and coming quick! Just when the doctor was going to send us home, contractions sped up again, and Emma arrived.

Everything went really well, and they let us out of the hospital the next day. We've been loving the new addition and are happy to have such a beautiful, healthy, content little bundle of joy!

Gracie loves being a big sister and is a great help. She reads her stories and helps me change her, she loves to get her toys to play with and kisses her to the point where I have to ask her to give Emma a little space.

We're so lucky. I wasn't sure how it would work, introducing a new member into our family, but all we have is more love. More love for Gracie, being such a big help, more love for my hubby, because we created these perfect little girls, and new love for Emma, our sweet little baby girl. My heart may just burst.
