Day 19 (part 2)

Haha! So... I posted prematurely. On Day 19, we also made these beautiful little gingerbread houses.
The kids did such a good job, I had to share them, too. Also, since my book isn't even started this year, I need to keep posting everything online so that when I do put it together, I know what happened...

Hard at work!

What a lovely little village my two kiddos made. I'd tell you which one was mine, but I think I'm embarrassed to say... these girls were so careful with their houses. They did a fantastic job!

Emma's Birthday!!

Happy Belated Birthday to Emma! She turned two on the 28th. Can you believe that??

You probably can, but I can't.... Where did the time go? My baby isn't a baby anymore.

She loves her big sister and her dog, she yells, "yay!" whenever she likes anything, she gives great hugs and loves to cuddle, and her giggle is infectious, if you hear it, you can't help but smile.

She's grumpy if you have to wake her from a nap and she is a good sleeper, although she's been pushing back her bedtimes lately because she likes to play in bed before falling asleep.

She loves Doc McStuffins, trains, books, animals, Palace Pets, Princess Sofia and anything Frozen.

Her favourite foods are grapes, toast, spaghetti, and pizza.

She likes the water and travels well, she likes to sit in the bottom basket of the shopping cart and she likes to pick out her own shoes.

She's a daredevil, loves her Beary, who she now calls Greeny (even though he's white), and her bike helmet and she likes to hang out in small trunks, tupperware  containers, or under chairs/tables (like a den animal).

She's fiery and knows her mind. She stopped saying yes at age 1, and it's everyone's goal to try to make her say it, but it rarely works.

She's a joy and a blessing and we all love her so much.

Happy Birthday Emma!

Day 18 and 19

Day 18: Grams and Papa's awesome advent calendar! The girls had so much fun with this. 25 days of thoughtful, perfect gifts and activities for them. What a great experience.

Day 19:
Because we have so much, we always try to take the girls and make sure they give something back. We donated to Santa's Anonymous again this year, and although Emma had a little trouble donating her gift, they both did well.

Day 16 and 17

Since we've been sick, we've had lots of quiet, crafty days. This year was the year of the kid's Christmas crafts.
Day 16: Gracie and I made this cute holiday ornament, which Brad said was 'a keeper.'
Haha!

Day 17: We made some homemade baking soda dough and thumbprint/handprint ornaments.

Sick Emma is a force to be reckoned with. She wouldn't let me tough her hair after her nap, so there it is!

Skinny Minnie has dropped a bit of weight off since being sick, so she's even farther from that booster-seat than when we started December.

Some of the lovely ornaments.

And the finished product.

Inka Gold anyone? Love this stuff!

Merry Christmas!

From our house to yours,

Hope you all have a fantastic Christmas and a happy holiday season surrounded by the people closest to you.

Day 15

Rudolph Memory Game

We actually played it like Go Fish, but it was the perfect Christmas game for a house full of sickies.

Day 12, 13, and 14

Day 12: My scrapping buddy, Jacqueline and I went to the Christmas crop at Treasured Memories today and had a great visit, got some scrapbooking done, ate yummy food, and enjoyed some time away from the Christmas rush.

Lovely as usual, my friend!

Day 13, I was sick. Ugh. I made some homemade chicken noodle soup because Gracie had a fever and I was down and out and Brad was getting over a cold. I used some fun, festive noodles to help us feel cheery. See Santa? Haha! There were presents and stockings, too.

And these lovelies are Day 14. Gracie made some awesome cards and Christmas trees for her teachers and her bus driver. There's one missing here, but they all looked great. Sidenote: Thanks to Grams and Papa for the awesome craft!

Also, Elle the Elf brought us some new Christmas decorations. See the lovely Christmas balls hanging over the swag? and it's dark, but Elle was perched up above, showing us her handiwork.

Day 11

The Legislature!!!

One of my favourite stops of the season. I'm telling you, go! Go now. Take the kids, your parents, grandparents or neighbours. It's worth it.

Oh, and take your skates.

And try not to have fun!

Maybe bring a tripod along, so you don't get a picture done by a stranger of this quality.... Thank you kind sir for your help, but.... not going on the Christmas card.
