Returning to a New Normal

You may have noticed the blog posts about our Christmas adventures abruptly stopped, as did everything around here. No more posts, no more sleep, no more showers....

;)

We welcomed Emma Maggie Malacko into our lives on the 28th of December, at 8:08 pm. She was 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 21 inches long. A whole pound and 2 inches bigger than her sister!

She made a slow entry into our lives, with contractions starting 26 days before her birth, and the doctor promising a baby within the week...... We waited.

Then, there were 26 hours of 'actual' contractions, (such a slow and steady entry into this world, we thought). We waited, and walked.....

and all of a sudden, she was coming and coming quick! Just when the doctor was going to send us home, contractions sped up again, and Emma arrived.

Everything went really well, and they let us out of the hospital the next day. We've been loving the new addition and are happy to have such a beautiful, healthy, content little bundle of joy!

Gracie loves being a big sister and is a great help. She reads her stories and helps me change her, she loves to get her toys to play with and kisses her to the point where I have to ask her to give Emma a little space.

We're so lucky. I wasn't sure how it would work, introducing a new member into our family, but all we have is more love. More love for Gracie, being such a big help, more love for my hubby, because we created these perfect little girls, and new love for Emma, our sweet little baby girl. My heart may just burst.
