Emma Layouts

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all you mom's out there! Hope you had a wonderful day.

I've got a few layouts to share today mostly starring Emma.

Great Grandma Sackett with Gracie, Emma and Jada in their Easter dresses (taken two Easters ago). These beautiful crocheted flowers and butterflies were a gift from a local scrapbooker who makes them herself. Aren't they fabulous?

I saved the best for last.... I'm not sure why, but I love these colours together: dark pink, light pink, deep yellow and aqua with a little grey and white thrown in.

Hope you like.

She loves Puppies!

Great Grandma Sackett gave Gracie a puppy that barks and chases it's tail for her second birthday and it was a big hit. It is still one of the most popular toys in our house, but Emma has really claimed it.

Why is she sitting in a tupperware container? I'm not sure, to be honest.

Okay, here are my top three pictures. Enjoy!

Love.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

I'm late, but I celebrated and I hope you did, too!
I went to a great crop at Treasured Memories with my best scrapping friend and we shared a table (and a crop room) with some awesome scrapbookers.

It was inspiring, fun, relaxing and so, so tasty! Thanks TM for such a great time.

These are two of the layouts I made for challenges that were held throughout the weekend. They gave us a few supplies and a few hours and we had to use at least a piece of everything they gave us in a project.

It was really good, because it made me think outside my usual colour schemes.

And one of the make and takes from the weekend:

There were two more, but this is the only one you get to see...

Hope you did something scrappy and fun!

Backyard Play

Zoomin'

Can you see her making the vroom, vroom noise?

Pretty stylish for a soccer player, right?!

Even wearing her minnie mouse shoes... we need to go sneaker shopping, pronto.

I don't want to wear this hat...

But it's so stinkin' cute!

Most of these were Gracie's photography. Thanks for making sure I get in more pictures, kiddo. Even if I have no makeup on and my hair is a mess....

Ready to Ride!

The Girl's New Interests

Emma is in love with spaghetti :)

Nothing beats sucking a noodle in your mouth.

 And, she'll share.

Gracie is learning to sew.

I'm not sure if you can see, but she's practicing following lines that I draw for her. She's pretty good, but I need a lower table for her. It's a stretch to get her high enough to see what's happening, and still be able to reach the pedal.

Emma Would Like to be a Puppy

It really is that simple.

She loves to splash in his water bowl, and constantly tries to feed him extra scoops of food.

I always put my finger up, and say, "No Emma, come here," when she goes over to the bowls (gesturing with my finger for her to come to me). The other day, she walked over to the bowls and looked at me and smiled, then held up her finger and gestured for me to come over.... what a ham.

"But mom, there's one kibble back here, Bailey will want that one."

"Let me just go get that for him."

Good thing she's cute.

PS. You may notice she has no pants.... we're doing a bit of an Intro to Potty-Training here. She demands to wear underwear and I think, why not? Then she pees on my floor. It's a good system, really. Perhaps I should put down a newspaper? ;)

Scrapbooking Little Moments

I had these photos on my desk for a few weeks, because they made me smile. I finished my mini album and wanted to get them on a layout.

Both layouts use sassafras patterned paper. I got these from a sale at Treasured Memories and they've been looking for a good home, too.

I recently wrote up a bio for Treasured Memories and they asked who some of my favourite scrapbookers were. I mentioned Jaime Warren, and thought, I should try to create these layouts in a similar style.

My photos were small, which she usually favours. I strongly emphasized the visual triangle on both of these like she often does and left lots of white space.

I like them.
